I have installed the programme but have to open the application through finder, is it possible to create a shortcut on my desktop or through Launchpad?
Yes you can.
- Locate LO (LibreOffice) - it’s probably on your applications folder.
- Highlight the LO icon by clicking on it ONCE.
- With the cursor on the icon hold down the COMMAND key and the ‘L’ key at the same time
this will create an alias (there will be a small arrow in the new icon in the bottom left hand corner) - Drag and drop this alias icon to your desk top
- Test out the alias by DOUBLE clicking on the icon - it should startup LO
