Exclude domain names from spellcheck?

Hi,

Is there any way to exclude domain names (i.e., any word ending in a .tld) from the spell check?

Currently, every domain flags and I have to ignore/ add to dictionary one by one.

The best way to do that is to define a character style which you could name TLD or Domain name.

  • Open the styles and formatting panel: FormatStyles & Formatting or F11
  • Click on the second icon from the left in the toolbar, the one with an “a” (Character styles)
  • Right click on Default Style and choose New ...
  • Give it a name, e.g. Domain name
  • In the Font tab, select [None] from the drop-down menu Language
  • While you’re at it, give any stylistic variation you like for your domain names (a different font from the standard text, color, underlining, …)
  • Click OK

Now, before you type a domain name, double-click on the Domain name character style in the panel to set it. Type your domain. Double-click on Default Style to revert to default formatting and spell check.

To restyle your already typed domain names, select them and double-click on Domain name.

To suppress the styling, select the domain names and double-click on Default Style (or any other desired character style).
