I want to switch from Windows 10 to Ubuntu but I found that the LibreOffice Writer in Ubuntu will not open my text files created with Softmaker.tmd. Is there a simple way that I can do this? I am not an IT geek, so Keep It Simple Sweeties!

According to you can buy a license of Softmaker for Linux or download freeoffice, which can open the .tmd files. You can then continue to work with Softmaker or freeoffice, or open your old files with it and save in the ODF format.
