In calc 001 instead of 1

I want to put 001 or something like 0040 in a cell. But I can’t get the setting right, so it automatically changes 0040 to 40.
Which setting should I change so in the cell will stand 0040?

Thank you ,

Ben

Select the cells that you want to format that way, then right click, Format Cells - and in Format Code enter as many zeroes as you want digits to be displayed. So if you want 00015, 01234, 00004, enter 5 zeroes. In the cells you just enter the numbers, the formatting will take care of the leading zeroes.

See Help on Format Codes.
