Writer Find and Replace how to keep current selection only checked

Hi, I use Find and Replace a lot in Writer and it’s mainly within selections I make in very large documents. Every time I have to open the “Other options” and keep checking the “Current selection only”. A couple of times I missed this checkbox before Replacing and had to wait for several minutes have the function run through all the document and then to undo it. Is there any way to make the dialogue remember my “Current selection only” choice, just like it remembers my “Regular expressions” choice?

If this is a bug or a problem with large documents, then fair enough. If on the other hand this is intentional designed behaviour, then this (the program and the programmers) are totally insane. I’ve been waiting half an hour now because the stupid program unchecked the box for me!

Okay, I just tried this in Calc with a little tiny file and it does the same thing. Which makes me suspect that this is a ‘feature’ not a bug. I won’t attempt to express my frustration in words, because it would probably take hours of time and megabytes of text.
