How does one add foot notes to a two column page? [closed]

I want to set up a page that has two columns with foot notes on the bottom of the page that span the whole length of the page - not have the foot notes in the column. Much like a magazine page format. Thank you.

You can't, sorry. Footnotes belong to the text area and that means that the number of columns you set, no matter if you define those columns on the page style or in a section, will be applied to the footnotes too.
