Data copied from Base Table to Calc spreadsheet is incorrectly formatted

If I copy a Base table and attempt to paste it into a blank Calc spreadsheet, all of the data is copied but
the column headings are pasted in alphabetical order while the data is copied just as it appeared in the
Base table. Thus, every column contains incorrect data totally unrelated to the heading.

How do I control the column headings so that the data contained therein is a duplicate of the Base table?

Don’t see the problem using LO v5.2.3.3 on Mint 18:

You can also import from menu View->Data Sources (must be registered DB).
