After I insert a date field in a *.odt document, I can right click on it and select from a variety of different formats. By contrast, if I insert ‘date’ in the footer of a *.ods spreadsheet, I am stuck with ‘dd/mm/yyyy’ with no (apparent) way of changing it. This is not a major problem, but I would like to get round it if possible so as to show eg ‘Printed 23 Jan 17’. Is there a way I can reformat this field as I can with text documents?
By the way: Spreadsheet headers and footers are ugly and limited in many ways (imo). I virtually never use them. except, probably, for page numbering. Wherever feasible I prefer a repeated row (or even more than one rows).
