Every time I go to a new spreadsheet I have to re-enter the names of each of my clients. Is there a way that I can create a list of clients that will be available from every spreadsheet? I do use a template so is it possible to add them to the template?
A few, of doubtless many, possibilities, depending on how the client names are used.
- Add them to your template; this means of course that each time your clientele changes you have to edit the template.
- If having the client list on a separate sheet works, you could create a separate spreadsheet file with the client list on it - which can be edited as required - and add it to your current spreadsheet via Insert | Sheet From File
- Insert | Link to External Data to an external spreadsheet which can be edited as required
I haven’t explained myself clearly. I do a spreadsheet every month and my clients vary every month. Currently I enter a client name once and then I don’t need to enter that name again for that sheet because it automatically gets expanded. I would like to preload those names for a sheet so that I only have to start typing the name before it is automatically filled in.
