No slide numbers in impress

Hi all,

I have encountered a weird problem. I am working on a presentation in Impress and I added slide numbers and the date but then they disappeared and I can’t get them back.

I go to Insert->Page Numbers and select the date and page numbers. I save the document and then when I open it again the settings are unchecked. What is going on? I am using version 5.3 which is supposed to be like the newest and the best LibreOffice has to offer.

My document is saved in MS Office format but I tried with the odt format and still no joy.

You have to save as .odp, the extension .odt is for LibreOffice Writer.

Try editing the master slide. See this tutorial.

Have you set up as a part of footer AND stated to be on all’ slides; apply to all. If omited from all slides tick box , then first page may be different. See Header and Footer format box. (Version 5.0.3 works ok for me, both for native LibreOffice and MS saves)
