Copy down cell data shortcut in Calc

Hi

When having a cell selected, in Excel if you do double click in the bottom right little black square, it copies the content of the cell to the cells below, until there is a cell with data.
I’m just trying to figure out how to do it in Calc. how is it? Because when I do it, it overwrite the whole column.

I attach a picture

Thanks a lot

Em… sorry, did I missed an advertisement where TDF promised that LO will be a clone of MSO (at least UI-wize)?

Hi

The function you describe is the one expected with LibreOffice (and it suits me personally). AFAIK there is no shortcut (keyboard or mouse) for this in LibreOffice.

I can however indicate 2 workarounds:

  • The Pivot tables make it possible to avoid filling the categories,
  • A formula and Copy & Paste special make it possible to get the result.

A short video (in French, but the images are enough to understand the principle) shows how to proceed.

Anyway, all this will be more complicated than what is possible with Excel … in this case.
