Why does Impress have such slow performance?

Hello,

I’m really having performance issues with Impress. Even adding a text box takes multiple seconds(around 10).
Copy/pasting a text box takes even longer(around 30 seconds). And this is in a new document with only one slide.

What I have tried:

• Change the affinity
• Change priority of the process to above normal
• Start Impress in safe mode
• Change power options to high performance

All these didn’t change anything and the performance remained slow.

System and software info:

• CPU: Intel Celeron N2810(2GHz)
• MEMORY: 4GB
• OS: Windows 10 Pro x64
• Libre Office: 5.3.0.3 (x64)

The performance in Writer and Calc are much better

No clue what happened, but it seems like leaving Impress open for a long time(in my case over 3 hours) will resolve the issue. Now even when closing and restarting the application everything seems to be fine.
