how to use mixed formatting with advanced find and replace function?

In Writer, I want to replace a group of words with another group of words that must contain mixed formatting, i.e. italic, bold, superscript. Is there way to do this by means of advanced find and replace function? As far as I can see, the formatting option applies to the whole replacement.

Example: One is writing a document which contains references as follows:
Document Foundation, User Manual3, s. 25.

Now he wants to replace all these references as follows:
Document Foundation/Libre, User Manual4, s. 25.

I found the solution.

One needs to use the extension called Alternative searching /Altsearch:

  • Simply copy the text you wanted to replace with to the clipboard. (ctrl c)
  • Subsequently, one should write the text to be replaced in the dialog box of the extension for the searched items.
  • Type \v into the replacement box.

That is all.
