Slow response when selecting objects (macOS).

Ever since I started using LO 5.3, I have noticed that every time I select on a graph in Calc or any object in Draw, I get the spinning wheel for about 10 seconds before the graph or the element becomes selected. This is a annoying in Calc, but utterly frustrating in Draw, as switching from object to object means having always to wait those 10 seconds. I have no recollection of this annoying delay happening with previous versions of LO.
I have already added more memory in the Preferences/LibreOffice/Memory (500MB), but nothing has changed.
My operating system is macOS Sierra 10.12. Any suggestion to eliminate this delay?

I confirm, but only with Draw. Creating an object takes a 3-4 secs spinning wheel and then another 3-4 secs wait again to be selected. This is happening in 5.3.0 and also 5.3.1 in MacOS 10.12.3, MacBookAir5,2 8 GB RAM, with no similar issue in other apps.

LO 5.2.6.2 does not have this problem, quick in creating and selecting objects.

This happens with me also on a 27" Mid 2010 iMac with 16GB memory running 10.12.4 (16E195). Also tried increasing memory in LibreOffice prefs but no joy. Tried Ver 5.3.2.2. Better but still about 5 sec delay in selecting. Rolling back to 5.2.7.

I also get the spinning wheel using version 5.3.1.2 on Macbook Air running Sierra, but I’m using the word processing and presentation programs. Going back to Open Office which is faster.

Same here. Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5, MacBook Pro, 2.9GHz, 16GB RAM, SSD. Draw 5.3.3 is very sluggish selecting objects. It is barely usable :frowning:

Is there a bug report for this? I couldn’t see one.
