I run LO5 on both Linux & Win 10…opening .doc or .docx in Linux renders all correctly. On Win 10 the Normal View does not show any objects or images but the Print Preview displays correctly. And the document can be printed correctly from LO. This only happened very recently. Why is this?
Have you turned off image display option? TOOLS >OPTIONS > WRITER > VIEW > DISPLAY IMAGES and OBJECTS. Otherwise the images will not show.
Many thanks Petermau - I certainly had not consciously turned them off , but they were certainly off in the Win 10 LO so thank you again. LO seems to now be working & I can download .docs correctly which contained complex formatting… this has cost me days of stress… so many many thanks! .
