I am going to make a simple table.
I can change the height, but not the width .
I am plotting in 4 cm but nothing is changing.
How to do this simple thing ?

Right click on the table → Table properties → Table tab. Change the “alignment” from automatic to any of the other options and then you’ll be able to set the table width. You can use absolute or relative values. Notice that width and left/right space are correlated, so you’ll need to play with the available options.
Other alternative is to insert the table on a frame with the desired width.
