This is quite a serious issue I’m facing from quite some time. Even if i purposely type an incorrect spelling, LibreOffice does not detect the spelling and doesn’t underline the wrongly spelled word in red colour.
Have a look at [Troubleshooting] Spell check in OpenOffice (View topic) • Apache OpenOffice Community Forum and see if there are any points in it that may help you.
