In 5.2.3. click on Sort Ascending works fine: it can find out that first row is heading and should not be sorted. In 5.3.2. it sorts always with the first row. The button Sort Ascending is useless. We need to dit it with 5 more clicks Sort - Option - Range contain column labels - click - Sort criterie - OK. Is there an possibility to get back previous behaviour? It is really not goodā¦
(I donāt have answer, sorry)
I come from OpenOffice and just found this stupid bug in sorting. Iām using LibreOffice 6.0.3. But to my astonishment, I found this question which dated back to one year ago for version 5.3.2! That means nobody cares about this bug all this time!
I agree with you. The sort buttons are useless. Iām still hoping the āTableā function in Excel will be implemented one day in LibreOfficeā¦ one day in a million years, maybe.
Iāve just made a bug report at
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118471
Did you try in safe mode? The problem might be caused by user profile corruption.
Just tested with V 5.3.4 Portable (and also with V 6.0.4.2 and with V 6.1 Beta1) and the behaviour was as you prefer: stable column labels.
I donāt have V5.3.2 at hand for tests.
However: A released version will never be changed retroactive.
Bug fixing is done for later versions.
