After playing with lots of settings, I have not been able to make the text darker in color than light gray. I am making this form for myself to be easy to enter customer information, so I am using a white background with no borders, as I want to make the document have a fairly clean look and I will know where the boxes are. Any ideas of how to force the color change? The input text is light gray on multiple PDF editing apps, on both Ubuntu and Windows.
Well I just answered my own question. The key is to use the color “Gray 10” rather than black. Sure looks black to me on the form.
Even better if you choose “Gray 0” from the tonal palette.
