Hi,

just to update an old question. Long time ago someone ask you for a new GUI. Your GUI is looking like MS Office '95 since years. It's really unhandy to use.

When do you plan to update the GUI to a modern usable like MS already did in Office 2007 and of course better in actual 2013/2016 or also like WPS Office did in WPS Office 2016 (i think WPS is doing it almost better than MS).

I really miss modern GUI in Libre... i think also like others?...

It's already there - but not by default. See http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2017/02/ho....

I am very grateful that in Libreoffice, unlike MSOffice, it is optional. Personally, I much prefer Libreoffice's sidebar ui, particularly on widescreen monitors, as it doesn't waste valuable vertical space.

Hi mikebibo,

thanks for your reply! Yes, now i see... But i have to say, it's a very ugly build "Ribbon-UI" compared to others or the MS original. Okay, alltrough it's experimental, but it's not looking nice and they forgot some functions to build into the ribbons.

Let's say, its an "okay" first try, but nothing more. Let's see how they do it in 5.4 or something else in future. I really hope they polish the Ribbon-UI

At this time i have to say WPS is doing it best of all office suites i know
