I have a document that the longest line is only four or five words.
I would like to make full width lines of text by combining the lines to an full across the page line.
Please give more details.
Meanwhile, use View → Nonprinting Characters to see if your short lines are in fact short paragraphs. Then you can remove the paragraph marks to combine them.
