LO 3.6.4.3, Windows 8. LO Math has default settings like fonts and spacing.
Formulas “2 cdot 3 = 6” and “sqrt {16} = 4” looks like
The “cdot” is selected in editor and you can see it’s bounding box. But the dot symbol is outside this box. Also the root symbol is torn.
How to fix it? I had not such problems on Windows 7.
I tried your formula and it works fine in LibreOffice 4.0.1.2 on Windows XP. See:
Maybe there is some problem in older version of LibreOffice, some Windows specific problem, maybe even your graphic driver.
I suggest to install the latest stable LibreOffice and retry it again. If problem persists then report a bug to LibreOffice bug-tracker using Help | Send Feedback from LibreOffice menu.
