Lines with border

I want to create border for line/curve elements in draw. To achieve this effect i create two lines, one with twice the thickness(this is my border effect curve) of the other line and place it behind the first line. This creates a border effect.

However its a problem every-time i need to change the shape. Because then I have to move points of both the lines. Is there a way to stick the points of one element to the points of another. Like a constraint or something.

Thanks in advance

Hello Nithin, Select both of your lines , then right-click inside the selected area and choose the menu item “Group”.
Now your lines are grouped together as one object.
To ungroup the lines again, just right-click on the grouped lines, and choose the menu item “Ungroup”.

This wouldn’t let OP to modify both of them at once by dragging one of a line’s node, will it?

well, to a certain extent … in some cases it needs to be realigned again, just ungroup, realign, then group again… still much less work then doing all points separately.
When the lines are grouped, you cannot reach the nodes of each separate line, but the group object has its own nodes. Only after ungrouping can you reach the nodes of the individual lines again.

I think grouping, selecting the area with both objects and right-click → Group [Ctrl+Shift+G], so resizing/moving the group should keep them how you want.
