Conditional formatting using data vadility cell range

I have a question about Calc in LibreOffic 3.5.

I’ve a cell range with some codes, for the sake of simplicity just assume there are three:

project_1
project_2
project_3

In a monthly overview I assign time to each of the projects, and on each day I select the project I was working on. I’m using a Data Validity for this that I can only select an option from the cell range defined above.

Now, I’d like to add conditional formatting, preferably so that it copies the style I’ve assigned to the cells in the cell range. Is that possible?
