I have the Problem that sometimes Libreoffice shows me all Buttons in the Editing Dialog for Header/Footer and sometimes it does not. I have tested with the same File in seperate Folders.
I use Libreoffice 5.1.6.2 on KUbuntu 16.4.2 (Fresh Install)
You have a wrong placement of controls in the dialog window (buttons and box above are shifted left outside of the window on footer1.png); the window itself is very wide. That may be because of Windows Manager, or with LO integration with that manager. Please test with a newer LO version, and if that doesn’t help, please file a bug report at Bugzilla.
For starters, a remark: you should better switch your user interface language to English. German is understood by less people.
Your screenshots make me think that in one case the footer is preset, so, you don’t have much options to edit it. In the other case, however, the footer is arbitrary, and you have a wider selection of options.
No, the problem isn’t about “less features because they don’t have sense in this context”, but the UI distortion when part of controls are shifted to the left outside of the dialog window.
Maybe or maybe not. All we have, are two screenshots, one being very bad (see my comment above).
I have now switched the user interface to english and footer is on, footer drop-down is on customized, same file and it is irrelevant if its copied or moved to another destination. I don’t change anything in this file and the behavior of the edit dialog is different.
In your screenshot, the editing dialog is truncated. Make a better screenshot.
that is exactly my problem that libreoffice truncates the dialog sometimes and sometimes not. when i copy the file to another folder it is not truncated.
What happens when you maximize the dialog window?
the maximize button does nothing. and i can’t resize at the borders.
It looks to me that the problem is about the file name too long in the footer. The program tries to adjust the edit window to make it fit but can’t do it properly. Well, perhaps this is a good reason to request a feature (resizeable footer/header edit window).
I am suggesting to try “Long Path Tool” program.
