Is it possible to convert to PDF with specific PDF-options from the command line?

My specific problem is that I would like to force PDF/A 1a. I have found that the property is this:

<item oor:path="/org.openoffice.Office.Common/Filter/PDF/Export"><prop oor:name="SelectPdfVersion" oor:op="fuse"><value>1</value></prop></item>

LibreOffice stores this and other settings in the user profile file. But is it somehow possible to parse specific options from command line.

I'm looking for something like -outfilter similar to -infilter.

It looks good enough for me using LibreOffice 5.1.4.2 in Danish locale.

My suggestion is that you try to open the document on another computer or with another version of LibreOffice.

2016-10-19 17:41:55 +0200 answered a question How to convert pdf into doc/docx/odt (lowriter)

PDF-files are not easy to convert directly into a text document as the internal structure in the PDF is very different from the one in a text document. Even when the PDF origins from a text document the internal structure looks more like a DTP page.

You can open almost any PDF file with LibreOffice Draw and from there work your way forward.

As you will see each line of text is a single text box and each text box is not related to the previous or next line in any way.

2016-07-04 19:10:43 +0200 answered a question Question about Python extension for LIbreOffice

What exactly is the background for asking? Python is, as karolus said a programming language and not an extension as such. Are you looking for examples or any specific functionality ?

An example is http://extensions.libreoffice.org/ext... (not sure if it works in version 5 but it shows the concept.

2015-02-13 14:17:12 +0200 answered a question How can I import GIMP palette?

Symlinking the whole folder as sub folder to config folder doesn't work unfortunately. Adding another folder to the current configuration doesn't work either. LibreOffice only accepts one Palette folder. Adding symlinks individually to each .gpl file in config folder works great. I guess thats the solution for me ;-)

2015-02-12 21:49:45 +0200 asked a question How can I import GIMP palette?

According to the release notes for 4.4 its possible to use color palettes from GIMP: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/R...

I have found out that from the new color selector I can use gpl-palettes (from GIMP) if I copy the gpl-file from the GIMP palette directory (/usr/share/gimp/2.0/palettes/...) to the LibreOffice user catalog (/home/leif/.config/libreoffice/4/user/config/...).

But is there some kind of import function to avoid hard-copying the files manualy?

Cheers,

2015-01-03 12:26:53 +0200 answered a question how can I export LibreOffice Writer file to epub/mobi format (Windows 8, LibreOffice 4.3)

My personal experience is that the best result is obtained by using Calibre for the conversion. You can download the application here: http://calibre-ebook.com/

Save the document as .odt and convert to epub and mobi with Calibre.

What exactly do you mean by chemical drawings? You can use Math for chemical formulas.

You can also take a look at this extension: http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/chemistry

2014-02-03 10:17:42 +0200 answered a question calc: how do I create a custom header

The header and footers are pretty static and always consist of three areas: Left, center and right section.

You should use print range instead: Select Format -> Print ranges -> Edit. If you define a print range you can choose rows to be repeated on each page.
