2015-12-16 15:15:23 +0100 asked a question Trying to create a base database and LO cannot create as it is asking for a JAVA something to be installed. How can I create a database?

I have a MacBook Pro using OX El Capitan and the latest version of LibreOffice. When I attempt to create a Base database I get the following message: "The connection to the data source "resume clients" ( this is the name I gave to the database I want to create) could not be established. No java installation could be found. Please check your installation."

What do I have to do in order to create and use a database? I am not a computer techie and do not know what Java is or how to check my installation. Thank you for any help you can render.

2015-07-31 02:31:52 +0100 asked a question how can I modify the spacing between lines in a bullet paragraph

When I go through the FORMAT menu choices, the interlinear spacing is unaffected. I get space between lines where I don't want them.

I am using the (I think) latest version of LibreOffice Writer and I want to make bulleted lists (I write resumes) and I want to be able to alter the space between the bulleted paragraphs/sentences/words, or whatever. The default is unaffected by anything I try.

Thank you for any help you can provide.
