2016-08-04 10:12:46 +0100 asked a question excel slicer compatibility in LibreOffice

I have an excel file which probably has slicers coz when i open it in LO it gives me the following error

"This shape represents a slicer. Slicers are supported in Excel 2010 or later.

If the shape was modified in an earlier version of Excel, or if the workbook was saved in Excel 2003 or earlier, the slicer cannot be used."

Help needed ASAP

2016-08-03 12:35:41 +0100 asked a question I am trying to merge various Calc files having the same structure but different data

The Edit->Merge option does not do anything. I tried the Edit-> Compare sheets as well, but it replaces the data instead of merging. Any help please.

Appreciate it.

2016-08-03 12:31:30 +0100 commented answer should we expect filtering based on cell background in ner future updates?

Actually the place I work for is getting data which is formatted conditionally. All the "completed" rows are green background and all the "pending" are pink, likewise there are 9 different sets. Then they apply filters in excel based on background cell. We are trying to migrate to LibreOffice provided all the functionalities could be ported. Hence, the query.

Are the developers going to introduce the functionality in libre calc where we can filter using cell background color as a condition. Currently we do it using a macro, which makes my file a bit heavy. Wondering if this functionality is in the to-do list of the devs?

Thanks
