2012-04-12 11:55:13 +0200 commented answer Why are there LibreOffice help packs if F1 already provides web help?

Well, we expect that it works as you said, but it doesn't for LibO 3.5.0, 3.5.1, and 3.5.2.2. You can see many poeple are asking this same question, and so far no good answer.

2012-04-12 11:51:09 +0200 commented answer How are Help packs installed and how are they used?

Well, it's better than no aswer. Intersting enough, the Help Pack is officially provided by LibreOffice but no official instruction to make it work. I can see many poeple asking this same questions now.

2012-04-12 11:47:47 +0200 commented answer How are Help packs installed and how are they used?

Thanks for info about extended tooltips, which is of some value. We expect much more from the Help Pack in the same manner as OpenOffice's Help function, which is easy to find what we want, and does not need Internet connection. LibO's online help is much inferiror than OpenOffice's Offline Help.

2012-04-12 11:34:13 +0200 commented answer How to use LibreOffice built-in help?

I have downloaded the Help Pack associated with the Main Installer, of course, and instlled it right after installing LibO with the Main Installer as suggested. The Help Pack doesn't work for 3.5.0, 3.5.1, and the new 3.5.2.2. Strange enough, this same question is asked by many poeple, and so far no satisfying answer.

I have downloaded both the LibreOffice Main Installer and LibreOffice Built-in help and installed them in order. While accessing help within LibreOffice, I'm always directed to online help, which needs internet connection and is difficult to find what I want. Instead, I would expect an offline built-in help like that in OpenOffice. What have I done wrong?

2012-03-05 02:47:15 +0200 commented question LibreOffice crashes by keying in some Thai character sequence

Thank you very much for helping and guiding a new comer like me in reporting this bug. I have included the minor issues together in the bug report, since they are all related to Thai character sequences to give the developer more info, hoping these issues will all be solved in one go.

2012-03-01 11:50:34 +0200 asked a question LibreOffice crashes by keying in some Thai character sequence

LibreOffice 3.5 will crash if keying in some specific pattern of mixed Thai and English texts.

Other minor problem with Thai characters:

  1. Cell content starting with Thai character is displayed as right aligned. It should be left-aligned.
  2. Some character combinations cause Input Line, Tab name, Style name.. to display strange characters.
  3. Some long mixed Thai-English text are displayed with wrongly-spaced characters at the Input Line.

I'm using Windows 7 Professional, LibreOffice 3.5.0rc3

Since posting this question I learned that a crash is considered a bug and should be reported at BugZilla. I have reported it as Bug #46923 (#fd46923) and attached the file to the bug report.
