When loading a Dialog from a Macro, using oDlg.setVisible(true) or oDlg.Execute(), is it possible to specify the position where it will open? Either absolute with respect to Desktop or relative with respect to the LibreOffice window.

(I think, in OpenOffice, there is a method setPositionSize. This gives "BASIC runtime error, '423'" in LO. Is there an equivalent available in LO?)

Sample Calc file with macro and dialog.

2016-11-21 06:42:17 +0100 asked a question Impress - go to the previously viewed slide

In Impress, is there a way to go to the "previously viewed slide"? To clarify - I have some hidden slides (eg. slide 17 is hidden) in my presentation, which is shown only if I click on links/buttons in a particular slide (eg. a button on slide 6). But after I show Slide17, I should go back to the previously viewed slide (slide 6) when I click next. Is such a slide transition possible in Impress? (The question is somewhat related to the question and answers at openoffice forum topic 54931 - https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum...)

thanks and regards kpk

2015-10-05 17:54:04 +0100 asked a question Unicode Zero Width Joiner and Non-joiner (ZWJ, ZWNJ) in Malayalam/ Indic languages

I am using LibreOffice 5.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Prof. I have been a user of LO 3 onwards. Only recently started using Malayalam. I am unable the type the ZWJ (U+200D or 8205) and ZWNJ (U-200C or 8204) characters using the Windows' built-in Malayalam keyboard. In Windows applications like Notepad the characters can be typed using the standards keys Ctrl+Shift+1 and Ctrl+Shift+3. But LO does not accept these keystrokes. Hence it creates problems in the chillu-letters in Malayalam.

(I have a workaround with macros which also has some font changing problems, since I am a newbie to LO-basic-macros. I will ask for clarifications on macros separately).

2015-10-05 17:32:10 +0100 asked a question macro - get current fontname and use it for applying later in macro

I am using LO 5.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows7Prof. In a basic-macro, I need to store the current font-name in a string, and after some steps in macro, I need to use the font-name to be reapplied through macro. What would be steps for that?

(I am very new to LO-basic-macros, and has not been able to locate this in macro documentation. I have been able to see solutions for getting parastylename, but not fontname) Please help...

2013-06-26 12:59:50 +0100 asked a question Calc - Find and replace - cannot replace selectively

In LibreOffice Calc, it is possible to replace only the first or 'All' the matching expressions (using Find All / Replace All).

Is it possible to review the found items one by one, and replace selectively? (We may need a Next or Find button to move to next matching cell and use Replace button to replace that occurrence alone, and move to next match).
