2014-01-16 20:15:53 +0100 asked a question Selecting shapes with interactions

I have a presentation that includes several objects that I have added interactions to. I want to know how to click on a shape without following the link interaction so I can edit the properties of that shape. Other than drawing a rectangle around it to select, is there a way to do this?

Do I need alt+click or something like that?

I found the answer. Instead of adding a hyperlink under the Insert menu, I clicked on the Interaction button in toolbar. When I added the action to jump to a slide from there, the link carried through into the PDF in both Adobe Reader and Mac Preview.image description

I am creating a slide deck and I want to be able to hyperlink from one slide to another so that when it is exported to PDF people can navigate the presentation using the links. When I create a hyperlink and choose a target within the document, I can select my slides and everything works in LibreOffice.

When I export to PDF, the objects and text I have set as links show up as links (the hand appears when hovering over them), but when clicked they go nowhere.

I have played with the various export to PDF settings. Is there something else I need to do?

2013-12-27 22:52:10 +0100 asked a question Find and Replace any characters before a comma

I have LibreOffice 4.1 on my Mac OS X laptop. I am using spreadsheet and have a column that includes names formatted like this: first, last.

I would like to run find and replace so I can remove anything before and including the comma and space so I am just left with the last name. I used to do this in Excel and it worked well:

Find and Replace, select column, enter this in find "*, ", leave replace blank.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this with regular expressions. Anyone know how I can do this?

Paolo, I had the same problem. I disabled the "View PDF after Export" option and that solved my problem.

Go to File -> Export as PDF... Uncheck "View PDF after Export" in the lower right hand corner of the dialog Screenshot

I hope that fixes it for you.
