Is it possible to use the spell checker in Base? If not why not?
This really should be part of Base…
There is some discussion of this in the LO documentation under the Macros chapter 9 found here. The code and working sample is also available in the zip file.
Thanks. I couldn’t find it in the documentation at first because I wasn’t looking in the 5.0 documentation.
It would be nice if spell checking were integrated into Base without having to use a macro.
I posted a sample database on OpenOffice forum that demonstrates how to use a macro to check spelling in a Base text box on a form. You may want to check it out. It’s simple and works for me.
