Updated LO; App fonts are now weird

I updated to 5.4.2 Win_x86 last week, but the fonts were weird across Calc and Writer. So today I uninstalled and went with 5.3.6 Win_x64.

The fonts are still weird. Example screen captures are below. The fonts are not smooth - both on the menus and in the cells/documents.

Any ideas?

Please test the options in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/View - Graphics output

Browsing previous questions, I wonder if it has to do with this:

Poor image quality after upgrading to 5.3.6

After upgrading from 4.3.7 to 5.3.6 on Mac, the images in my documents look like something from a 1960’s video game. I create documents with lots of screen captures and the image quality is very important. I have reverted to 4.3.7 so I’m ok for now, but can this be fixed? I don’t know if it’s related or not, but the toolbar icons in 5.3.6 also look like they are from a 1960’s video game. Maybe this is just modern styling, but it made the software very difficult to use. I’m sticking with 4.3.7 …

in which case, I may have to wait for a future update for better fonts?
