2015-10-19 02:09:11 +0200 ベストアンサーマーク Find a linked video or image path in Impress

Hello! I'm wondering how can I find out the path to a linked video file or picture in my Impress presentation.

My actual problem is that I created a presentation some months ago and linked some small video files to it instead of embedding them into the presentation (here by linking I mean inserting an image or video file into the presentation keeping the default 'link' checkbox in FileOpen dialog checked, and not creating a hyperlink), and after some time I deleted those video files. Now I need to restore my presentation, and I have all the video files, but I cannot find out which one of them is used on which slide.

I tried to put all the video files into the same catalog where my presentation is, but not every one of them got recognized, so I made a conclusion that the files were linked using the absolute path rather than a relative path, probably.

So, is there a way to find out the path of a linked file in Impress in order to correct this link? Thank you!

2013-10-01 19:58:58 +0200 ベストアンサーマーク Why can't I create field names more than 10 characters long in Base?

Hello!

Today I tried the LibreOffice Base for the first time. I want to create a database for my home library. So I used a database Wizard to create a database and then added a table to it. But the problem currently is that I cannot assign a name with more than 10 characters long to any field. Moreover, if I use the Latin characters, I can type 10 symbols, but if I use Cyrillic characters, I can only have a name of 5 characters length. I suspect, this is somehow connected to UTF-8 (2 bytes per symbol).

In any case, is there a way I can give the table fields name more than 10 characters long?

Thanks.

Hello!

While testing LibreOffice 3.5 with GTK3 interface, somebody suggested me to use a special environment variable to choose the toolkit to start LibreOffice with. For example, it was possible to choose GTK2, GTK3 and so on.

Now I cannot remember this variable name and cannot find it anywhere. Could somebody please tell me what variable it was?

Thanks.

2013-10-01 19:44:53 +0200 ベストアンサーマーク How to create custom arrows for LO Draw

Hello!

I need to add my custom arrow style to LibreOffice Draw. In the line properties dialog I've found a tab "Arrow styles" which lets one load some additional arrow styles. But I don't know how to create the arrow style in appropriate file format. Could somebody please point me to a way I can create such files?

Thank you.

Thanks a lot! That is exactly what I needed. However, I can see that the red, green and blue colors are dark. Is there a way to apply the light colors?

@oweng I am not sure about the origin of these hyphens, since I obtained the text with them. I thought they are the hyphens that may be inserted via "Tools" -> "Language" -> "Hypthenation". This dialogue has the button "Remove" which does nothing in my case.

2013-02-24 01:51:07 +0200 ベストアンサーマーク How to embed video into Impress presentation?

Hello!

Today I have noticed that if I insert a video into my LibreOffice Impress presentation, I get actually only a link to the video file included into the presentation. If I remove the initial video file after that, I end up with a presentation without video.

Is there a way to embed (build in) a video file into the LO Impress presentation?

Thanks.

Well, maybe it is also called a hyperlink, but what I mean here is that it does not look like a link to click on (what I thought to be a hyperlink), but rather looks like an embedded image or video on a slide, which is actually not built into the .odp file and therefore has to be provided as well.

Thanks for a suggestion! Unfortunately, it turned out that in my presentation the "Edit" --> "Links" option is gray (unavailable to click on), so I cannot see the linked objects. :(

@ROSt52 : I'm sorry for the initial inaccuracy. I didn't mean a 'hyperlinking'. I meant inserting a file to the presentation slide without actually embedding this file into the presentation .odp file -- just keeping the default 'link' checkbox checked.
