Alphabetical Index

Ubuntu 16.04 LO Version: 5.4.3.2

When attempting to create an Alpha Index, LO ‘freezes’ requiring that the application be killed.

Have deleted and reinstalled LO with not effect on the problem.

All other selections for ‘Type’ seem to work as expected.

Have attempted to create the index from fields in a DB and ‘hand typed,’ both with same results.

What is going on? Am I missing something or is there a ‘bug?’

Thank you in advance.

An alpha index is a table made of automatically extracted terms from the documents. I don’t understand your mention to DB fields. Please edit your question to explain how you “flag” the “words” to enter into the index.

Aside from import of values from db table, even when a list is created in a ‘pure’ write document, the result is the same.

A list of words is typed into a document, the words marked as an indexThe application hangs and has to be killed.

The reference to a db, refers to a list of words specific to topics that are ‘pulled in’ to the document.

With or without the db, the result is the same, application hangs and must be killed

Attach a minimal sample document exhibiting the misbehaviour.
