I would like to disable specific fonts (like Syriac or Ethiopian fonts) in font preview without uninstalling them (because they are an xorg-server dependency in my Linux distro).
Disabling a font without needing to uninstall the file is currently not possible, unless you do it through an application like font-manager
(which will disable the fonts outside LO as well, so maybe this is not what you’re looking for).
LibreOffice will read any TrueType/OpenType font that is located in one of the different font folders of the file system (e.g. /usr/share/fonts
, /usr/local/share/fonts
and ~/.local/share/fonts
).
