Open both documents. (We will call them A & B.) Open a new document. Go to document A. "Select All" and "Copy". Go back to the new document. "Paste" Go to document B."Select All" and "Copy". Go back to the new document. "Paste".

Viola: merged documents.

2014-06-15 13:02:50 +0200 질문하였습니다 In Writer, how to add text under/after a table?

I am trying to edit an ODT created by a program else. It puts one table per page, even if the table is very small.

So, I want to add text in all that space after the table, but the cursor only goes into the last row of the table. It seems that there is some "one table per page" property, but I can't find it.

TIA, Ron

There is no Table->"Text Flow" in v4.2.4.

2013-11-04 13:57:39 +0200 코멘트달린 답변 LO insists on opening text file with Calc

I run Xubuntu, so Mousepad is the default text editor. No, I haven't tried that solution, because I still want mousepad to be the default text editor.

My question is, "How do I tell LO to open this text file with Writer instead of Calc?"

2013-11-04 07:28:07 +0200 코멘트달린 답변 LO insists on opening text file with Calc

$ file -bi x.txt text/plain; charset=us-ascii

$ xdg-mime query default text/plain mousepad.desktop

The file is the output from the command: $ cal 2014 > x.txt

Duh, sorry. LO 4.1.2 on Xubuntu 13.04 The file contains a text that can easily be interpreted as numbers delimited by spaces.

Hi,

There's a .txt file that I want opened in Writer, but -- as mentioned in the Subject -- LO refuses to do so. How can I force Writer to open it?

How large is large? If this is but a subset of your data, then maybe gnuplot or R (specifically RSQLite) might better serve your needs. Steep learning curve is a downside, though.

http://www.libreoffice.org/download

It detected that I use an Ubuntu variant and displayed links to tarballs full of debs.

libreoffice4.1-debian-menus_4.1.0-4_all.deb is now in the main DEBS directory.

All the icons were created properly in my xubuntu 13.04 "Mouse->Office" menu, and v4.1 Calc fired up properly.

Note also that it does not remove LO v4.0.

2013-02-07 23:31:58 +0200 질문에 답변하였습니다 Why are the old StarOffice binary formats no longer supported by LibreOffice 4.0.0.3?

Because they are old, crufty, and have a very high complexity-use ratio (IOW, hardly ever used).

Thus, they simply the code base for very little use impact.

The few people like you might just be stuck on v3.6.

Hi,

Has anyone besides me noticed that LO menu entries disappear when installing LO4 on Ubuntu 12.04 with the Gnome Fallback desktop?

I completely deinstalled LO 3.6.4.3 before installing LO 4.0.0.3, if that matters.

2012-12-20 01:17:15 +0200 질문에 답변하였습니다 "the maximum number of rows has been exceeded"

I'll try to be more specific, but what do you need to know?

Did you create the example test file like I documented?

Have you loaded your failing CSV file into a text editor to look at the failing line?

Does it always choke on the same line?

(The probable cause is bad data in the CSV file that LO Calc barfs on.)

2012-12-19 23:21:12 +0200 질문에 답변하였습니다 "the maximum number of rows has been exceeded"

Can you be more specific? (In bash I created a simple CSV and LO 3.6.4.3 opened it instantly.)

This is how I created the test file:

(for f in seq 1 63000; do echo > "foobar,$f"; done) > foobar.csv

2012-12-19 22:40:26 +0200 질문하였습니다 Calc "numbering add-in"

Hi,

(LO 3.6.4.3 on Ubuntu 12.04.)

When trying to open an xls created in Excel 97 (but recently saved in Excel 2007), a pop-up window appears that reads

The numbering add-in must be loaded for optimal numbering and toolbar behavior. Please load this add-in into your library directory.

Where is that add-in? My Google-fu seems lacking.

Thanks.
