Hi,

I'm trying to get my macro's to work again after upgrading to El Capitan. I get the infamous: need a java 6 runtime error.

So, I downloaded and installed the legacy java 6 offered by Apple. However, it doesn't show up in my list of JREs in LibreOffice. Even tried installing LibreOffice again after installing java 6 because I read somewhere that this could make a difference. I was hoping to link it up manually, but I'm not sure which directory I need to reference.

Cheers, Marc

2014-09-10 17:54:57 +0200 질문하였습니다 Turn off cell protection

I have an ods file that I use to store translations

I have had a lot of problems with it over the years due to various bugs in Calc. One of those is that often times Calc will report that a cell is protected when I try to change a value (I never ever tried to protect the document, sheet or cell). In most cases, despite the annoying popup, it will actually change the value, a bug in itself, but in other cases it won't allow me to change the value, which is worse, since I can't turn it off.

When I go to format cell, it also reports that it can't be formatted because it's protected, but the protected checkbox is turned on. When I turn it off, I get the same message and when I get back to the Format Cells popup, it's checked again.

Neither sheet or document is protected. I don't want it, I don't need it. How do I turn it off, rip it out, get rid of this bs? Reporting bugs doesn't seem to help because I reported this and a number of other blocking bugs that have been around for years various times. So, excuse me if I'm tried of this shit.

And by the way, your Facebook signin doesn't work. It goes to signup.

Cheers, Marc

Started from a plain ascii text and started adding headings. Going back to normal text format doesn't work. Restart numbering leads to all the heading x in the document getting the same number. Continue previous not available. Tried tons of things. Nothing works. Forest of bugs. This is supposed to be a word processor.... Costs more time than it saves.

Interesting. Same error even after a reboot. I have Mac OS 10.9 Maverick and LibreOffice 4.1.2.3. No to the different copies. It's just on my computer. I'm wondering if I could have accidently opened a file from a mounted zip file?

Hi,

I just saw my LibreOffice crash. When I started it back up I got this slightly disturbing error message:

Either another instance of LibreOffice is accessing your personal settings or your personal settings are locked. Simultaneous access can lead to inconsistencies in your personal settings. Before continuing, you should make sure user 'myname' closes LibreOffice on host '18742179034.3g.telemar.net.br'.

Do you really want to continue?

Now, I moved from my home to an internet café but the message does suggest some kind of malicious thing going on. Anyone care to comment?

Kind regards, Marc
