Problem after attempting to produce a report in Base

When attempting to produce a report in Base, the report page went to very nearly full screen size, but could not be resized, i.e. only the ‘Close’ button top right and the borders of the document could not be grabbed to resize. Subsequently, when opening a new Writer document, it appears exactly how the report did (very nearly full screen size) and with exactly the same issues. A Calc, Draw, Math or Impress document open up as normal.

Seems to me as though the problem is caused within Base (I presume a Base report is a Writer document).

The above is with LO version 5.4.2.2 (on Linux (Sparkylinux based on Debian) 4.13.0-1), though is very nearly the same (the 3 buttons top right are present) in LO version 5.1.6.2 (on Linux 4.4.0-98 (Xubuntu))

Opening an existing Writer doc shows the same problem. Strangely, a PDF doc opens normally (in LibreOffice Writer)!

Should the above problem be reported as a bug? Certainly seems like one to me. Perhaps Admin(s) of this page could advise, please.

@johnh009 Have not been able to reproduce anything as stated. Only thing I can suggest is to try resetting your user profile - This post. Other than that, having LO versions through v5.4.3.2, I have no problems as such. My versions are from LO & possibly your problem is distro related. If all else fails, file a Bug report.

@Ratslinger. Thanks again for your help.

I followed the process on the post you highlighted. In safe mode, it worked as it should do. However, I was a bit lost as there were not any files within my LO profile that appeared to be corrupt. So having backed-up the entire profile, I plumbed for the ‘Reset to factory settings’>‘Reset entire user profile’ option, applied the changes and restarted. Now seems to work as ‘normal’.

Doesn’t appear to be anything to ‘tick’, so thanks again.
