Updated extension (Alt Search), no icon on toolbar

I just updated the Alternative Search extension, which I’ve used for a long time, to the latest v 1.4 (Released Jan 21, 2014).

However … now the icon is missing from the toolbar. I can find the “AltSearch” macro under the “My Macros” listing, but can’t work out how to add it back to the toolbar.

I’m on LibO Version: 4.4.0.3 / Build ID: 40m0(Build:3) / Locale: en_GB / running under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Any advice appreciated!

I’m on Mac OS but it should be the same place:

Go to Tools->Customize…, go to the Toolbars tab, click “Add…”, scroll down to the bottom where there’s the category “LibreOffice Macros.” Find your Macro and you can add it to the toolbar.

Then you choose Modify->Change Icon and give it an icon. Otherwise the whole text name of your macro will take up space in your toolbar, since it doesn’t have an icon by default. (At least that’s how it is on Mac.)

Thanks - the AltSearch macros show up under “My Macros”, not “LibreOffice Macros”, and there are dozens and dozens of them belonging to AltSearch. I don’t know which is the One Macro That Runs Them All. And in the (several) times I have installed this extension on different systems, the icon is automatically added to the toolbar. So I’m thinking there’s something more to this that simply customizing the toolbar.

OK. I found it! It’s called “Add-On 2” on my system, under View > Toolbars. I’ll leave this here just in case anyone else is as confused as I was.

(The oddity is that it didn’t show up automatically, which has been the pattern with previous versions.)
