I have the following problem: I’m using dBase IV tables inside Base to paste data directly from Calc spreadsheet. The problem is, this used to work flawlessly in LibreOffice 4.x, but in 5.2.4 & 5.3.6.1, under both Windows & Linux, it just pastes empty records. I have the necessary write access to table, because when I manually enter data, it’s there. Also, I know I can open DBF directly into calc, but when I save entered data, it breaks compatibility with the original program using DBF database.
A quick test on Mint 18.2 using LO v5.4.1.2 produces the same results. Only found this similar bug (goes back prior to your mentioned 4.x) - Bug #53027. Suggest you file new bug here.
