Hi @jdsmint,
However, when I use the Ctrl+F function, the endnotes are not included in the search. In Word I can select “text” or “text and endnotes” etc. How can I make sure the endnotes are included in my search of the document?
(Testing on Ubuntu 12.04.2; LO 4.0.0.3)
Here’s a test I just did:
- Open LO Writer
- Paste-in some text that doesn’t include the words [dinosaur, spinach]
- Insert → Footnote/Endnote → (footnote selected be default) → click OK
- Type “I like dinosaur meat”
- Click elsewhere in my text
- Insert → Footnote/Endnote → Select “Endnote” → click OK
- Type “I like spinach”
- Click back into the main text
- Type CTRL-F
- Search for “dinosaur”, then search for “spinach”
What happened: I found dinosaur in the footnote, and spinach in the endnote.
Conclusion: Works for me
