Table of Contents HELP

Hey everyone,

I’m having some issues with formatting the Table of Contents in my book for an EPUB file. When I apply “Heading 1” to the TOC in my DOCX file and upload it into Libre, the TOC still doesn’t show up correctly.

Interestingly, when I opened a blank document and tried “Heading 1,” it worked perfectly. So, I’m a bit stumped as to why it’s not working in my main file. It’s a larger document, so maybe that’s affecting it? Anyone who helps me figure this out i’ll send you a cash app for a coffee.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I remember this is a common problem, so try with the following thread and maybe use the suggested workaround to use google docs …

TOC of a document exported to EPUB

I set the TOC of my document to show all paragraphs with “Heading 1” and “heading 2” styles applied (with the latter nicely nested). This is exactly what I wanted. But, when I export the document to EPUB, the TOC of the resulting EPUB document lists only “Heading 1” entries. How can I also have “Heading 2” appear in the EPUB TOC? Thank you.
