INSERT FIELD menu is missing. It work earlier, used for author, page, date etc. Now invisible in LO.
in OO field menu shows, but choice is grey. Can not enter the fields.
It worked earlier with both programs. The spread sheet is a new one created today 20231207.

Note to website programmer: the Category shown in this frame delivers Asian symbols. No use. If you name it Language it would make some sense . try?
In Calc, when a cell is in edit mode, I can insert Date, Sheet Name, Document Title (menu Insert - Field).
Maybe you remeber the fields available in Writer.
