Adding page numbers when starting a book in writer

I’ve watched every video on page numbering for Libre but they are all mostly old versions. I have Libre version 7.3.6. Windows 11.
I am writing a novel and I started out on page style. Sized my book to 6"x9" mirrored.
From there I want to go to page 7 to start my numbering of pages. I want to leave the first 6 pages without numbers.
Can anyone give me a step by step for numbering?
Thanks

The page numbering system didn’t change, so the old videos should still work for you. Except that the user interface may have changed. It’s better to read a tutorial, that isn’t interface dependent.
You will find some hints here: Apache OpenOffice Community Forum - [Tutorial] Page styles and headers/footers - (View topic).

Page number goes into header or footer. Header/footer are attributes of page styles. A page style governs global appearance of a sequence of pages (between boundaries created by a special form of page break Insert>Other Breaks>Manual Break).

Consequently you need one page style for the first 6 pages and another page style for pages 7+.
