When I copy text into my writer document it is all blue and underlined like an internet link. It will not change to the style I created for it. This affects all paragraphs titles headings and the internet links stay black.
What happens if you paste the text unformatted?
There was no formatting. I copied it from a .txt document.
It might have picked up a character style, possibly Internet Link, from some not quite fully deleted text. If you select some of the blue text and press Ctrl+Alt+B to reset to No Character Style (or double-click No Character Style in the Character Styles pane of Styles in the Sidebar), does it fix the problem for the selection? If so apply it to all the blue text.
… or maybe @claire1 has change tracking activated, and either the insertion color is set manually in Options → Writer → Changes, or the “by author” color somehow picked blue…

I changed as per your SS. That fixed it. It was an Article Template. Thank YOu!!!
