Alt Menu Accelerator Not Working

I recently downloaded v.24.2.1.2

Now my normal process of typing Alt, S, R, A for a simple row insertion on a calc sheet does not want to function as it was.

If I hold Alt and tap S it functions, but it used to allow me to tap alt and then be able to scroll through the menu bar for the task I wanted. It is a preference for keyboard shortcutting.

Is there a setting that needs to be reset?

I read the Bug report and then pulled up the patch report of 164824. Since I am not IT, am I supposed to download the two patch kit zip files and then place them in a certain folder? or does the patch auto-install?

You can’t patch the program by replacing anything in your installation. Your options are only:

• Build the program yourself;
• Wait for the release, which will contain the fix (it will be version 24.2.3);
• Downgrade to a previous version.
