Anybody here who uses XTextTableCursor?

I tried it and got confusing results concerning the movement of range cursors.

Hello, Wolfgang!
I think the “14.9.5. Using a table cursor” section of our favorite Book by A. Pitonyak is still relevant.

Text table cursors are used to split and merge table cells. In general, I consider this to be the primary use of a text table cursor.

I’m forced to use TextTableCursor when processing selected objects in Writer documents. I haven’t used any commands for moving the cursor in different directions (except for navigating by cell name).

You may have guessed that this question came to my mind in pursuit of the answer to a 4 years old question which you recently posted. As in many cases I didn’t study your solution first, but tried to get one of my own to not be biased then. A correctly working cursor movement might have been useful ... (?).

I simply experienced that all the cursor movement methods of XTextTableCursor didn’t work as specified in LibreOffice: XTextTableCursor Interface Reference .
The bug is “legacy” (since V3.3), and I wonder for what reasons it never was fixed - and possible not evcen reported.

This “anybody question” should help me to decide if a bug report might be reasonable. The situation is complicated enough to assume that such a report will not be done in a few minutes.
