I want to have an automatic TODAY() timestamp when filling in a new template sheet (like creating a new invoice, for example).
But when opening and examinig that saved sheet later again that previously created and saved date should not be altered anymore.
Is this somehow possible without complex macros or so?

you may use shortcut ctrl , for inserting current date, ctrl shift , for time or ctrl , space ctrl shift , for complete date-time.
I am using those handy shortcuts already… but thank you anyway!
The system is used by different people and they tend to forget such little tricks. That is why I am pondering if a simple automatic solution were possible…
Maybe I just add a yellow label to display’s frame, a label with huge “Ctrl-,” 
Try ⇒doubleclick⇒Insert⇒Field⇒Date ? in the Template-file… ( but check if this kind of date is fixed or updatet each time you reopen on later Dates ??)
