I have online updates turned off. The same for checking for updates automatically. Today I see a banner that says I’m running 7.6 for the first time. How did that happen? Software updates usually are ok, including LO, but I always have it turned off because unexpected problems can occur. I haven’t seen any yet, but I don’t like surprises that interrupt my work.
What operating system?
Did your anti virus (Norton, I suspect) come with a program updater?
Are you using Snap or Flatpack packages on Linux?
You will note that it is other things doing the updating
Win 11 pro. Don’t know where to start but I’ll look for other things doing the update.
(FTR, today a simple macro that I’ve used for years stopped working. Won’t reset margins. Even when I re-record and reassign to ley stroke. Technology is wonderful when it works.)
IMHO there is no auto-update for LibreOffice in Windows by LibreOffice.
.
So I’d check if a “friendly” security suite is updating your system…
The other idea would be your profile was reset, so LibreOffice generated a new one. But the 7.6 would be the same version as before, but your profile in %APPDATA% would be new. (Did you backup this?)
